The mission of Lidl Digital is
to build and advance the e-commerce and digital business models of Lidl – the leader in retail business in Europe and the fourth largest retailer in the world by revenue. With close to 3 000 employees worldwide and competence centers in Bulgaria, Romania and Spain, our company is the technological brain thrust that has fueled our online retail business for more than ten years.
Our e-commerce operates with around 30 000 articles and 8 million customers per year across eleven countries. Besides the Lidl Online Shop and travel portal, other business models developed and internationalized by Lidl Digital include the “Ready-to-cook” box and other digital services such as flowers, photos, mobile services and electricity tariffs.
Our headquarters are in Neckarsulm (near Stuttgart), our Digital office in Berlin and our Centers of Excellence in Sofia, Barcelona, Bucharest and are the engines of Lidl’s international digital business models and services. From there we coordinate international tests and rollouts, as well as the further development of our websites, apps and special online features.
